Senior Associate - Portfolio Monitoring, Mid-Market Private Equity Fund

Location: London

The Opportunity

An exciting and sought-after London-based mid-market private equity fund is seeking a senior associate to lead portfolio monitoring. This role bridges asset-level data and top-level reporting, financial acumen, and an analytical mindset. Ideal for someone from audit or corporate finance with a passion for tech and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full end-to-end reporting process across all portfolio companies.
  • Reconcile and integrate top-down and bottom-up financial data.
  • Build dashboards and analytical tools (using iLevel).
  • Provide analysis, trends, and insights to support portfolio and investment committees.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and the wider portfolio.
  • Collaborate with finance teams and founding partners to access and validate data.
  • Develop and scale a tech-driven, automated reporting function.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including macros or similar tools.
  • Ensure effective communication, time management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Experience of iLevel is desirable but not essential,
  • Experience in a portfolio monitoring/reporting role, from advisory, consulting or private fund level.
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • More generally, they must be highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and natural curiosity around data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
