Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior to Senior Associate Planner to join its planning team in Ashby with opportunities across Birmingham and Manchester. You will manage a varied caseload and deliver planning consultancy services for a national client base within a multidisciplinary property consultancy.

The role offers ownership of diverse projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and the chance to develop client relationships while working with architects, highways, landscape and ecology teams.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or near APC completion required.
• Experience in a planning consultancy environment or similar.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and market.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise own caseload with high-quality advice.
• Prepare site appraisals, initial site reviews and planning strategies.
• Submit and manage planning applications across diverse projects.
• Lead on site promotion, planning submissions and representations.
• Provide bespoke planning advice and build client relationships.
• Mentor and develop junior team members including APC candidates.
• Manage budgets, time recording and invoicing.
