Job summary

A leading planning and property consultancy in the Northwest is seeking a Senior/Associate Planner to lead diverse planning projects. You will be responsible for managing planning applications and leading a team, while leveraging technology for efficiency. Qualifications

  • MRTPI Chartered or eligible to become.
  • More than 10 years of planning experience, membership of RTPI preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage planning appraisals and applications.
  • Take ownership of multiple projects from inception through to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders for successful outcomes.

Senior Planner/Associate Planner

Location: Manchester

Candidates are required to:
  • Be MRTPI Chartered (or eligible)
  • 10 years plus (Membership of the RTPI preferred)
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and client-focused
  • Be passionate about planning and take real pride in the quality of your work
  • Be confident working independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled at managing your own workload and timelines
  • Communicate confidently and clearly - in person, in writing, and across digital platforms
  • Solve problems creatively and proactively to overcome planning challenges
  • Embrace technology and work confidently within CRM systems and other digital tools that drive our business efficiency and growth
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a varied project portfolio
  • Demonstrate strong project management and organisational skills


What does the role involve?
  • Leading and managing a wide range of planning appraisals, applications and appeals from inception through to decision and post-decision stages
  • Taking ownership of multiple projects, driving them forward with focus and efficiency
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
  • Develop and implement bespoke planning strategies tailored to each client's goals
  • Have line management responsibilities for a Graduate Planner and Project Assistant

  • Hybrid working pattern: 3/4 days in the office, 1/2 days site visits/home working
