Senior Associate, Mergers and Acquisitions

A unique opportunity has become available for a Senior Associate to join our growing Melbourne Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team on client engagements, seeing financial transactions from beginning to end.
  • Prepare key deal documents, including Information memorandums, valuation materials, and financial models.
  • Review and interpret financial statements and other financial data.
  • Undertake assignments, including acquisitions, divestments, capital raising, and financial modelling.
  • Support business development meetings with prospective clients including preparation of proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Actively build a professional network and attend networking events.

Skills and experience

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 AUD per annum, inclusive of superannuation.

  • CA / CPA or CFA certification or other relevant overseas qualification, or currently studying (near completion).
  • Significant experience gained in a corporate finance environment.
  • Commercial acumen including strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and report-writing skills.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
