Job Description:

Our client, a global top-10 Sovereign Wealth Fund, is looking to hire a Senior Associate for their Global Retail & Consumer Investments team in Doha.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the investment portfolio by being responsible for specific companies and investments.
• Originate and evaluate new investment opportunities, assisting in the execution of both private and negotiated public transactions.
• Post-acquisition, ensure appropriate reporting, performance monitoring, risk assessment, and provide investment analysis and recommendations.
• Build organizational expertise in relevant industry sub-sectors by contributing industry knowledge and external network connections.
• Key tasks include financial modeling, valuations, preparing internal materials for investment decisions, portfolio management, and reviewing portfolio performance quarterly.

Requirements:

• Experience from a top-tier financial institution, currently working in Investment Banking / M&A or Private Equity.
• Strong experience in Retail & Consumer sectors, with a focus on Consumer Staples and Hardline Retail considered a plus.
• Previous US/European deal exposure is advantageous.
• Excellent Excel modeling skills; an advanced degree or CFA is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
