Job summary

Dentons’ Projects team in London seeks a driven lawyer with 6+ PQE to handle complex oil and gas transactions across the UK and internationally, in a role that combines legal expertise with strategic client engagement.

You will work on M&A, project development, financing and energy transition matters, with strong emphasis on risk assessment, contract drafting and negotiations, and opportunities for progression to Counsel or Partner for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Outstanding academic record.
• Ability to absorb and to draft detailed contractual documentation.
• Transactional experience - strong negotiation and legal drafting skills.
• Oil and gas experience across the sector (M&A, project development, financing and/or trading).
• Excellent project management skills.
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Work on UK and international transactions across the oil & gas sector.
• Develop and manage client relationships, contributing to business development.
• Collaborate with Dentons teams globally to deliver cross-border projects.
• Support on a range of transactions including M&A, project development, financing and energy transition matters.
