Job Description:

London Research Centre is the department of BOC London Branch and BOC UK covering economic and geo-political research, ESG and corporate strategy. As a Senior Associate - ESG, you will be supporting the Bank’s ESG agenda and coordination among teams as well as arranging external events. The responsibilities spread across coordination, data management, stakeholder engagement, multiple events and sustainable finance support, all of which are critical to maintain the Bank’s current ESG momentum. This is a full time 12 months fixed term contract position.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the ESG Committee Secretary to coordinate meetings and follow up on action items with working group members
  • Consolidate ESG-related performance data across departments and track progress against KPIs
  • Support the development and implementation of the Sustainable Finance Framework
  • Coordinate the Bank’s engagement with Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) including relevant working group case studies
  • Liaise with Head Office and UK subsidiaries to ensure alignment and regular updates on Green Finance activities
  • Support to organise and participate in external ESG forums and industry events, enhancing visibility and knowledge sharing
  • Assist with the development of internal ESG training materials to build awareness and capacity within the Bank

Requirements

  • Degree educated in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics and politics, or related discipline
  • Experience in data and policy related research or in events management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
  • Able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
