Job summary

Watson Farley & Williams is recruiting a senior associate for our Banking & Finance practice with a focus on project development in the energy and infrastructure sectors. You will advise banks, private equity houses and sponsors on investments and acquisitions of energy assets.

The role requires 7+ PQE, strong drafting and client-management skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in England & Wales.
• 7+ years of PQE in Banking & Finance with energy/infrastructure exposure.
• Experience in domestic and cross-border project development work.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and client management skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Able to operate autonomously and provide high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide sophisticated advice on financing, corporate, trading and commercial matters for energy and infrastructure investments.
• Support banks, private equity houses and sponsors in cross-border transactions.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents and manage client relationships.
