Job summary

FindCore is seeking a Project Director/Associate Director to lead residential and student accommodation projects in Manchester. The role focuses on delivering complex schemes, taking ownership of programmes, budgets and client relationships, with emphasis on building safety gateway experience.

Candidates should have strong leadership, practical delivery acumen and the ability to translate technical advice into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant construction or project management discipline.
• Professional accreditation or membership is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead new-build residential and student accommodation projects from feasibility to handover.
• Own project delivery, directing programmes, budgets, quality and risk.
• Coordinate building safety gateway processes with clients and consultants.
• Review recommendations from fire/mechanical engineers and translate to actions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and resolve technical and delivery challenges.
• Act as senior client liaison, providing reliable reporting and solutions.
• Develop and monitor delivery strategies, programmes and budgets.
• Oversee governance, contracts, change control and risk management.
• Chair project meetings and ensure clear communications among stakeholders.
• Provide senior leadership and escalate issues when needed.
