Mullen Coughlin LLC in London is seeking a Senior Associate to provide legal counsel on international data privacy and cybersecurity incidents, leading complex matters and mentoring junior lawyers. The ideal candidate is a Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years PQE, proven crisis management and regulatory communications experience, and the ability to manage high-impact client engagements.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years of experience in crisis management, cybersecurity or privacy.
• Candidates must demonstrate experience leading complex cybersecurity incidents, coordinating multiple stakeholders and navigating regulatory/operational risks.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers or team members is essential.
• Preference for private practice experience in data privacy, healthcare, financial services or regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex matters including large-scale ransomware attacks, supply chain compromises, and cross-border data breaches.
• Gather and assess relevant facts; coordinate with forensic and other third-party experts.
• Guide clients through regulatory communications, notification requirements, and potential enforcement actions.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing work product.
• Participate in rotating on-call crisis management in the firm.
