Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Cost Consultant / Associate to join our growing Northern team in Leeds or Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cost consultancy services across a wide variety of sectors and projects, from inception to completion. You’ll play a key role in delivering cost-effective solutions, supporting client decision-making, and contributing to our regional and national success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Manage and deliver cost consultancy services across a broad range of projects, including commercial developments, fit-outs, and refurbishments.

  • Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, estimates, and financial reports throughout all project stages.

  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic commercial guidance and maintaining strong working relationships.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across disciplines—locally and nationally—to ensure integrated and effective project delivery.

  • Regional Intelligence: Use local market knowledge and Cushman & Wakefield’s national data to support cost benchmarking and strategic recommendations.

  • Business Growth: Support new business opportunities through proposal development, client presentations, and identifying prospects in the Northern market.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.

  • MRICS qualification or working towards chartership.

  • 5+ years’ experience in cost consultancy or quantity surveying, ideally within a consultancy or client-side environment.

  • Proven experience in pre- and post-contract cost management.

  • Familiarity with acting as Employer’s Agent or delivering Project Management services is advantageous.

  • Strong commercial awareness, with demonstrable experience in developing and managing client relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills.
