Job description

Senior Associate - Corporate & Commercial

Our client is seeking a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE with experience in corporate and/or commercial departments, and/or banking and finance teams, of local or external reputable law firms. He/she will lead file management of files and work with the wider team on larger-scale transactions, with a view to taking charge of such transactions with further experience. The candidate will also play a material role in business development activities and accept assignments delegated from Partners; give technically accurate advice to clients; ensure compliance with procedures, including AML; communicate with clients with regard to scope of work, anticipated costs and disbursements, progress and issues arising; manage different work-streams for multiple clients; preserve and enhance existing client relationships of the firm; mentor and supervise junior team members.

Knowledge and experience of trust law in the context of Jersey-administered trust and corporate structures and/or high net worth private clients will be beneficial. The successful candidate will need to bring excellent technical skill and knowledge, good commercial awareness, strong initiative, good communication skills and a strong teamwork ethic.
