William James Recruitment is seeking an experienced Complex Injury Senior Associate to join a leading national defendant law firm in Southampton. Hybrid working arrangement offered.

You will manage a portfolio of high-value multi-track personal injury claims, including complex injury matters, on behalf of insurer clients. You will advise on liability and quantum, draft pleadings, and support junior colleagues while developing long-term client relationships and a career path in a specialist team

Qualifications

• Experience handling high-value multi-track personal injury litigation.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law and CPR.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex multi-track PI claims valued £100,000–£500,000.
• Assist on catastrophic injury and large loss matters over £1 million.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, quantum and strategy.
• Draft pleadings, defences and schedules.
• Review complex medical and expert evidence.
• Prepare valuations and quantum assessments.
• Represent clients at mediations and settlements.
• Mentor junior team members.
