Job summary

Oculus Legal Group in Liverpool seeks a Senior Associate in Commercial Litigation on a partner-track path. You will handle varied disputes with autonomy, work closely with Partners, and contribute to business development to grow the department.

Hybrid role: 4 days in-office, 1 day at home. The firm offers a clear route to Partnership and a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with high-quality clientele.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Commercial Litigation or Dispute Resolution.
• Experience at Senior Associate level or equivalent.
• Proven track record managing complex commercial litigation matters.
• Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy and client management skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to provide pragmatic advice.
• Ambition and capability to progress towards Partnership.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own varied commercial litigation caseload from instruction through to resolution.
• Advising clients on litigation strategy, commercial risk and dispute resolution.
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements, applications and other court documentation.
• Attending hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Working alongside Partners on complex and high-value litigation.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting business development initiatives and networking activities.
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.
