The firm is a successful boutique firm based in central London looking to hire a Senior Commercial Solicitor who can be a safe pair of hands in the work itself and supporting the junior fee earner in the team.

This prospering practice has rapidly grown since its establishment in 2013 and offers services to a diverse range of UK and international clients. Although broader in reality, the firm focuses primarily on servicing a client base of forward-thinking SMEs offering innovative software, technology, and data services. This provides an exciting prospect for solicitors wishing to advise rapidly scaling businesses. Other clients include companies that work in the aid-funded business sector and leisure, recruitment, and engineering agencies.

The Role

This Legal 500 firm is seeking a Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years of PQE to join their central London office.

This position is well-suited for someone with experience gained in one or more of the following areas:

1. Commercial Contracts
2. Software / Technology Contracts
3. Data Protection

You will work with some of the practice's key SME clients in the software and technology sectors. In addition, you will work with a small team directly alongside a firm's founder to allow them more time to grow the business, affording everyone in the team more opportunities in the future. Given this, there are genuine future partnership prospects.

You will be a key hire, vital to influencing the team's development and gaining exposure to various high-quality work and leadership activities. Clients include some excellent brands, which you'll have heard of, and smaller ones looking to grow, including:

1. high growth SaaS providers in the UK, US, and Australia;
2. software consultancies;
3. cloud-based telecommunications provider;
4. SaaS provider in the fashion industry;
5. a variety of start-ups and SMEs;
6. leading names in the international development sector.

Requirements:

1. England & Wales qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE
2. Background in Commercial Contracts / Company Commercial law is essential.
3. It would be helpful, although not explicitly required, for your experience to date to have been gained in technology, software, data, AI, or similar areas; however, the firm is open to general commercial contract lawyers looking to get in the thick of such a brilliant.
