Job summary

Turner Property Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Associate Building Surveyor or strong Associate to lead the Dilapidations offering across the West Midlands. The role provides clear progression toward Directorship with autonomy to shape the service line.

You will mentor a Midlands team, manage a diverse portfolio, and build strategic client relationships while driving growth in the Dilapidations practice.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Building Surveying with significant experience in Dilapidations.
• MRICS qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and Dilapidations.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering instructions independently.
• The confidence to lead, mentor and support other Building Surveyors.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
• A desire to develop business and build a regional service line.
• Ambition to progress towards Director level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Dilapidations service across the West Midlands.
• Take ownership of a varied portfolio of Dilapidations instructions across landlord and tenant matters.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients throughout the lifecycle of Dilapidations instructions.
• Prepare and review schedules of dilapidations, terminal schedules and associated reports.
• Negotiate with landlords, tenants and their representatives to achieve commercially effective outcomes.
• Support and lead an existing team of Building Surveyors across the Midlands.
• Mentor and develop junior and more experienced members of the team.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for further business development.
• Contribute to the wider strategic growth of the Building Surveying team.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business and other property disciplines.
• Take an active role in winning new work and developing the firm's regional Dilapidations profile.

Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading national property and building consultancy in the appointment of a Senior Associate Building Surveyor, or a strong Associate looking to progress, to take the lead on Dilapidations across the West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Building Surveyor who is looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear route to Directorship and the opportunity to take genuine ownership of the Dilapidations offering across the region.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the Midlands Building Surveying team, taking responsibility for developing and leading the firm's Dilapidations offering across the West Midlands.

You will work alongside an established team of Building Surveyors across the Midlands, providing technical leadership, mentoring and support while also managing your own portfolio of instructions and client relationships.

This role would suit a Senior Associate who is ready to take the next step towards Director level, or an experienced Associate who is looking for greater responsibility, autonomy and a clearly defined progression pathway.
