Role Description

We seek an experienced Building Services Engineering Surveyor at Senior Engineer / Associate level with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services. The role involves visual inspections, assessments, and cost evaluations of installed building services. The successful candidate will support our surveying team in delivering technical due diligence surveys, condition assessments, dilapidations schedules, and maintenance planning across various property types and clients throughout the UK. Additionally, support for design consultancy services and construction monitoring may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality work and maintain client relationships on behalf of Unova Consulting.
• Conduct site inspections across the UK, primarily around London, with occasional travel further afield in the UK and Europe.
• Review servicing, maintenance, statutory testing documentation, and base build specifications post-survey to inform reports.
• Produce MEP reports, including condition summaries, major expenditure costs, and recommendations.
• Review tenure documentation and prepare dilapidations assessments related to M&E systems.
• Create PPM CAPEX schedules for multiple properties.
• Undertake feasibility studies, including site inspections and client brief reviews, producing reports and drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with team members and lead project activities as appropriate.
• Utilize relevant software to deliver and present engineering solutions.
• Provide budget guidance and technical input to clients and industry professionals.
• Engage with other service lines to promote cross-selling and broader understanding of the business.
• Support the delivery of design specifications and monitor contractor workmanship and quality during projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience.
• Degree-level qualification in building services engineering or equivalent (HNC or similar).
• Preferred professional accreditation with CIBSE, IMechE, IET, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with IES, Hevacomp, Amtech, AutoCAD, Bluebeam is advantageous.
• Working towards or holding Chartered Status with UK Engineering Council or equivalent.
