We’re looking for a Senior Associate / Associate – Utilities to lead our Midlands Utilities team, based in either our Birmingham or Northampton office.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Leading and developing a Midlands-based team of four, while contributing to the wider UK Utilities team.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, local authorities, utility providers and contractors.
  • Identifying project risks, opportunities and infrastructure constraints, negotiating with utility providers to secure practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Supporting major regeneration, infrastructure and land development projects across the Midlands and nationally.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Sustainability and Energy to develop innovative future energy and utility solutions.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with relevant legislation, regulations and client expectations.
Your Impact

In this leadership role, you’ll help grow and shape our Utilities business across the Midlands while delivering solutions that have a lasting impact on communities.

You’ll
  • Lead a high‑performing regional Utilities team.
  • Strengthen and develop client relationships across both the public and private sectors.
  • Influence the successful delivery of major regeneration and infrastructure projects.
  • Help create sustainable utility strategies that enable future development.
  • Work collaboratively across Stantec’s national network of technical specialists.
  • Play an important role in the continued growth of our Utilities business across the UK.
About You

We’re looking for an experienced utilities professional with a passion for delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions and developing successful client relationships.

You’ll Ideally Have
