Job summary

Modus Talent Ltd is working with an award-winning, Legal 500-ranked firm in Oxford to appoint a Private Client Senior Associate in Wills, Probate & Estate Planning. You will handle complex matters and contribute to business development.

You will mentor junior colleagues, manage a varied caseload, and help shape the growth of the department while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
Experience administering taxable and non-taxable estates
Excellent drafting and technical skills
Commercial, client-focused approach and relationship building
Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
STEP qualified or working towards STEP accreditation
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive, collaborative, and client-focused mindset

Responsibilities

Manage a varied private client caseload from instruction to completion
Advise on wills, estate planning and succession matters
Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney
Administer taxable and non-taxable estates
Advise on trusts, estate structures and post-death planning
Draft Deeds of Variation and support broader planning strategies
Mentor junior team members
Develop client relationships and contribute to networking and business development initiatives

The Private Client Senior Associate Job

An award-winning Legal 500-ranked law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Wills, Probate & Estate Planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client lawyer looking to take the next step within a growing and ambitious team. You'll advise a broad range of private individuals, families and business owners on complex estate planning matters while playing an active role in mentoring junior colleagues and helping shape the future growth of the department.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion
