Platform Housing Group is seeking a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant to join the Rent Accounting team on a permanent basis. You will ensure accurate recording of property information to report rent performance and support regulatory returns, with a strong emphasis on data handling and stakeholder engagement.

The role is home-based with biweekly visits to our offices. Candidates should have experience in rent accounting or a willingness to learn within the social housing sector, plus strong Excel

Qualifications

• Understanding of rent accounting and willingness to develop within a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant role.
• AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience of accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets.
• Excellent ICT skills including cloud technologies, Excel and Word.
• Experience of data analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience of developing and managing a customer-driven service.
• Ability to interpret information, research, analyse complex data, appraise performance and manage risk.

Are you ready to advance your finance career? Join our team as a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant

We are currently looking for an experienced finance professional to join our dynamic Rent Accounting team on a permanent basis. This is the perfect time to join us on our transformation journey to provide a truly modern finance function. There is a supportive culture within the team providing you with a strong platform to gain experience and exposure to Rent Accounting.

In this role you will be pivotal in ensuring that property information is accurately recorded to report rent performance to the Group and to provide finance support in completing external regulatory returns relating to rent and property stock.

This is a highly data driven role where you will be working with large volumes of data and liaising with a range of stakeholders so ideally you will have excellent Excel skills, the ability to understand accounts and forecasting and be able to build strong working relationships.

What are some of the things we are looking for?

• You will possess an understanding of rent accounting and/or demonstrate a desire to learn and develop within a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant role gained within the Social Housing sector.
• AAT Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience of accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets

Although this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to our Group offices approximately every two weeks. Our offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester. Due to the need for office working, we are looking for candidates to be based within an easily commutable distance of our offices.
