Dorset HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Assistant Psychologist to work across the CAMHS acute pathway, primarily based between Pebble Lodge and closer2home.

You will collaborate with clinical psychologists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality, inclusive psychology offer to the client population within the acute pathway. DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Honours degree in Psychology.
  • Experience leading formulation.
  • Experience in CAMHS or mental health settings.
  • Can drive and has access to a car.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation and interventions under supervision.
  • Support and enhance psychological care within the CAMHS acute pathway.
  • Assist in audits, statistics analysis, teaching and research projects.
  • Offer training and supervision support to staff within the pathway.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Assistant Psychologist to work across our CAMHS acute pathway, primarily based between pebble lodge and closer2home.

Your role with involve working closely with clinical psychologists, and a multi-disciplinary team, to support the provision of a high quality and inclusive psychology offer to the client population within the acute pathway.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Please note visa sponsorship for this role is unfortunately not available. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

Main duties of the job

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the CAMHS acute pathway; providing psychological assessment, formulation and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical psychologist and within the overall framework the CAMHS acute pathway.

To support and enhance the professional psychological support and training to mental health and non-mental health staff within the pathway.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collation and analysis of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
