St Andrew’s Community Partnerships has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Assistant Psychologist.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support and enhance psychological care for clients within the Criminal Justice System (CJS).
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions under supervision.
  • Work independently within agreed plans and policies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Honours degree in psychology (minimum 2:1).
  • Eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Previous experience working with distressed individuals as an Assistant Psychologist or similar role (at least 1 year).
  • Interest in forensic settings and service development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, IT, evaluation, and research skills.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Oxford, primarily based at a Probation Office in Oxford and Bicester.
  • Salary: £30,021 per annum.
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week.
  • Contract: 12-month fixed term.
  • Travel outside Oxford reimbursed and typically required for training.
