Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) is seeking a Band 5 Assistant Psychologist to support the Trauma Pathway within the North Lincs Primary Care Network. The role involves helping deliver therapeutic interventions and contributing to service development under supervision.

  • Clinical work: Support therapeutic interventions, assessments, care plans, and psychologically informed formulation.
  • Communication and multidisciplinary working: Contribute to clinical and multidisciplinary meetings, communicating sensitively with service users and families.
  • Training, supervision and professional development: Engage in supervision, CPD, and staff training in psychological care.
  • Service development: Support projects across mental health and sexual violence services and contribute to relevant meetings.
  • Research, audit and evaluation: Assist with literature reviews, data collection and reporting.
  • Governance and professional standards: Maintain high standards of record keeping and report writing, following policies and guidelines.
  • Flexibility within role: Undertake other duties as required in discussion with the Lead Psychologist.

Job description

  • To provide Assistant Psychology support to the Psychological Therapies Pathway within the North Lincs Primary Care Network, specifically a new trauma pathway.
  • The Band 5 Assistant Psychologist will support the delivery of therapeutic interventions, service evaluation, and the development of new links between the trauma pathway and third sector sexual violence services, under the supervision of the Principal Psychologist.

The post holder will support psychological care under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist, contributing to assessment, formulation, intervention planning and service development.

  • Clinical work: Support therapeutic interventions, assessments, care plans, and psychologically informed formulation.
  • Communication and multidisciplinary working: Contribute to clinical and multidisciplinary meetings, communicating sensitively with service users, families, carers, professionals and partner agencies.
  • Training, supervision and professional development: Engage in supervision, follow professional guidance, maintain CPD, develop role-related skills, and support staff training in psychological care.
  • Service development: Support service development projects, including work across mental health and sexual violence services, and contribute to relevant meetings.
  • Research, audit and evaluation: Assist with audit and research, including literature searches, data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Governance and professional standards: Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping, report writing and professional self-governance, working in line with Trust policies, professional codes, legislation, local and national guidance, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Flexibility within role: Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade as required, in discussion with the Lead Psychologist, and contribute to ongoing review of the role through the PDR process.
