Job summary

National Gas is seeking a Senior Asset Manager in Warwick to shape long-term investment strategies for the National Transmission System and develop asset management plans balancing risk, performance, cost and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering, finance, regulation and operations to deliver high-quality asset management outcomes, building business cases and securing funding while addressing net zero and hydrogen readiness challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in an asset management role with asset-based decision making.
• Recognised qualification in Asset Management.
• Experience in a regulated environment and navigating regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of asset investment planning, asset risk assessment, and whole-life asset management principles.
• Experience developing business cases and investment justifications for asset-intensive networks or infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

£63,500 to £74,500 + up to 6% bonus

Working pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days a week on site

About The Role

As a Senior Asset Manager, you'll shape the long-term investment strategy for assets across the National Transmission System. You'll develop asset management plans that support safe, reliable, and resilient energy infrastructure, ensuring critical investment decisions deliver value for customers, today and in the future.

Essential

• Experience in an asset management role with responsibility for asset-based decision making
• A recognised qualification in Asset Management
• Experience working within a regulated environment and navigating complex regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of asset investment planning, asset risk assessment, and whole-life asset management principles
• Experience developing business cases and investment justifications for asset-intensive networks or infrastructure
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make evidence-based recommendations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable

• Registered Asset Management Professional (or working towards accreditation)
• Experience within the energy, utilities or wider infrastructure sectors
• Knowledge of gas transmission networks or related asset classes
• Experience engaging with regulators, government bodies, or industry stakeholders
• Understanding of emerging energy challenges, including net zero and hydrogen
