Job summary

Siemens Mobility in London is seeking a Lead Project Asset Data Engineer to deliver and govern asset data across HS2. You will shape asset information management, drive data quality, and integrate data across engineering platforms.

Reporting to the HS2 BIM Programme Manager and Asset Data Manager, you will champion data governance, ERDs, and APIs, ensuring compliant asset information through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL and relational database systems, including design and data modelling.
• Experience managing asset information in large rail, transport or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret ERDs and implement data validation and governance processes.
• Experience integrating data across multiple systems using APIs and interoperable solutions.
• Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain asset data architectures, relational databases and data models for major rail projects.
• Develop and optimise SQL databases, queries, validation rules and data quality processes.
• Lead data integration across design tools, GIS, databases and digital applications.
• Support asset registers across design, construction, handover and operations.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, data governance and industry best practices.
• Act as SME for asset data, providing data queries, reporting solutions and improvements.
• Ensure delivery of accurate, compliant asset information meeting HS2 requirements and governance.
• Enable seamless asset data exchange across clients, engineering teams and systems.
• Provide robust data structures and data quality controls to support decision making.
