Job summary

Anglian Water, through Strategic Asset Management, is seeking an experienced analytics professional to stay hands-on while acting as a technical specialist. You will develop predictive analytics, ML solutions and dashboards to guide investment and asset management decisions.

Collaborating with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and stakeholders, you will build scalable pipelines, apply ML techniques and translate insights into action for customers and the environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in data science, statistics, ML, or related discipline.
  • Advanced SQL and Python and/or R skills.
  • Experience delivering analytics and insight products that drive business value.
  • Experience using Power BI or equivalent visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced analytics, dashboards and insight products that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Apply statistical analysis, predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to complex asset management challenges.
  • Develop forecasting, regression and classification models that improve performance and support investment planning.
  • Build repeatable, scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows to improve efficiency and insight delivery.
  • Use storytelling and visualization techniques to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work alongside Data Scientists and Data Engineers to develop and scale innovative analytical solutions.

Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive analytics and machine learning techniques.Experience using Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools.Strong understanding of data modelling, data structures and working with complex datasets.Skills & BehavioursBe naturally curious, with a passion for exploring data and identifying opportunities to create business value.Take ownership of your work, delivering high-quality outputs with attention to detail.Be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, analytics and business outcomes.Balance innovation with pragmatism, focusing on solutions that deliver measurable value.Have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy solving complex problems.Be self-motivatingDesirable: Experience working with senior stakeholders, building automated data pipelines, and exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and Databricks.
