Job summary

Central East Integrated Care Board in Ely is seeking a Senior Assessor – PUPoC & Appeals (Band 7) to lead retrospective Continuing Healthcare reviews and Appeals. You will ensure fair, lawful and compassionate decisions within the NHS National Framework and drive governance quality in the CHC team.

The role requires a degree-level qualification, NHS experience and strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., health, care, public services, management, or related discipline).
• Experience in managing teams or services within the NHS, public sector, or a comparable complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of PUPoC cases and Appeals.

Are you an experienced Continuing Healthcare (CHC) professional looking for an opportunity to lead, influence and improve outcomes for individuals and families navigating complex Appeals and retrospective CHC reviews?

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Assessor – PUPoC & Appeals Clinical Team (Band 7) to lead the delivery of Previously Unassessed Periods of Care (PUPoC) reviews & Appeals and support the highest standards of quality, governance and decision‑making within our All Age CHC Quality Improvement & Governance Team.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing retrospective Continuing Healthcare reviews & Appeals, ensuring every case is assessed fairly, lawfully and compassionately in line with the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare.

As a senior member of the team, you will:
