Job summary

Orion Electrotech is recruiting a Senior Assembler in Fareham. The role covers electro-mechanical assemblies such as IPCs, servers, racks and cable assemblies, with strict adherence to drawings and customer specs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in crimping, soldering, wiring and cable termination, plus the ability to read engineering drawings. This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour position with a clear focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble IPCs, servers, racks and electro-mechanical products to drawings and specs.
• Build and modify cable assemblies using approved tools and techniques.
• Crimp, solder, wire and terminate cables to IPC standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and customer requirements.
• Identify and highlight build issues or drawing discrepancies.

Are you an experienced Assembler, Electro-Mechanical Assembler, or Production Technician looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Assembler to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Fareham. This is a hands-on role working on a variety of complex assemblies, including cable assemblies, IPCs, servers, racks, and other electro-mechanical products. You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality builds are completed on time and to customer specifications.

The Senior Assembler Role

• Assembly of IPCs, servers, racks, and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings and specifications
• Build and modification of cable assemblies using approved tools and techniques
• Crimping, soldering, wiring, and cable termination to IPC standards
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements
• Identifying and highlighting any build issues, drawing discrepancies, or instruction errors

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an Assembly, Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Wiring, or Production Technician role
• Strong cable assembly, crimping, soldering, and wiring experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
