Role Overview

To lead on prevention and intervention to help our residents sustain their tenancies. Our team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team and works with internal and external stakeholders to contribute directly to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe.

You will focus on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse. Referrals and signposting will be made quickly and accurately to support residents, particularly vulnerable ones, ensuring tenants feel safe in their homes. Developing strong partnerships with agencies to assess and manage risk is essential to employ intervention and support measures to secure positive outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse.
  2. Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, ensuring risk assessment, referrals, and safety plans are in place.
  3. Attend meetings with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to ASB cases.
  4. Deliver a resident-focused response to ASB complaints and breaches of tenancy/lease agreements.
  5. Create and manage action plans for case resolution.
  6. Utilize legislation and good practice for preventative and legal actions, including mediation.
  7. Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators.
  8. Prepare and serve legal notices and cases for court, representing the organization as needed.
  9. Manage service queries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  10. Communicate effectively with victims, families, and perpetrators, ensuring their views are recorded and respected.
  11. Establish rapport and build respectful relationships with victims, families, and perpetrators.
  12. Provide detailed reports based on evidence and assessed needs.
  13. Handle child and adult safeguarding matters promptly and effectively.
  14. Manage complex, high-risk casework involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse.
Skills and Requirements
