  • About the Role: The Senior Area Sales Manager is a great opportunity for candidates looking to advance their careers in Field Sales and management. The Senior ASM will manage the assigned team of Grocery and Mass Territory Managers to deliver in-store activities, achieve KPIs and targets, and oversee some State-based MSO groups within the Independent Channel. The role emphasizes people management, focusing on building and developing a high-performance sales team through coaching and mentoring according to each member’s Individual Development Plan.
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Coordinate and supervise all direct reports, including Grocery and Independent Territory Managers.
  • State Manager Relief: Assume all responsibilities of the State Manager during their leave.
  • Sales and Business Development: Build and maintain relationships with Key Customers (store and Area/Regional Managers) to maximize sales opportunities. Meet with key contacts to upsell major activities and negotiate additional display activity for Priority 1 and 2 activations. Manage some Independent Tier 2 customers within the state, negotiating ranging, distribution, Pre-Packs, and display activity for key events.
  • In-Store Execution: Ensure quality, freshness, and standards of in-store execution are met according to the Field Action Standards set under the My Perfect Store Guidelines. Develop plans to achieve display and execution quality targets. Ensure the availability of POS materials for activations, including timely ordering.
  • People Management: Participate in recruiting Territory Managers, Regional Merchandisers, and seasonal helpers. Ensure performance aligns with Ferrero standards and values. Implement performance management plans and support development through IDPs. Conduct year-end evaluations and participate in cross-functional project work.

  • Degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience in managing and developing people.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
