Unknown architectural practice near Exeter is seeking an Architect or Architectural Technologist to join the team at a senior level, leading technical delivery of housing projects. The role involves producing detailed drawings, coordinating with clients and consultants, and mentoring junior staff on-site with a focus on Building Regulations compliance.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a UK practice, strong housing sector experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit preferred;

Qualifications

• UK Architectural qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a UK architectural practice.
• Strong background in housing projects, ideally with developer clients.
• Experience across industrial, leisure, hotels and commercial sectors beneficial.
• Confident managing projects on site and overseeing technical delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• AutoCAD proficiency is essential; Revit preferred with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of projects from planning through to construction.
• Produce and oversee detailed construction drawing packages.
• Work closely with clients and consultants to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Manage and supervise projects on site, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Coordinate consultants and resolve technical queries during construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with Building Regulations and best practice.
• Mentor and support junior team members where required.
