Senior Architectural Technologist
ManchesterExcellent salary packageOVERVIEW:Great opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join one of Manchester’s most successful and highly regarded Architectural design consultants. With a large, multi-award winning team of Architectural and Interior Design staff, they work across a broad range of sectors (Retail, Residential, Industrial, Workplace, Sports & Leisure), delivering the highest standard of design solutions for a prestigious portfolio of clients.
Working within their modern city centre studio, the successful candidate will be given will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting manufacturing and high-tech warehousing developments, as well as high-rise residential schemes.
ABOUT THE ROLE:Typical responsibilities will include:
- Lead the overall coordination of the design and effectively communicate with clients, contractors and other members of the design team.
- Prepare drawings, specifications and other documents sufficient for all stages of projects, including planning applications, tender purposes, building regulations applications and construction standard information
- Attend and positively contribute to design team meetings, and where necessary lead such meetings
- Manage and delegate tasks to other team members, setting clearly defined briefs and checking the work of less experienced members of the team
- Attend site and review construction works against quality and statutory compliance
ABOUT YOU:Suitable candidtaes should be able to demonstrate:
- Proficiency in the use of Revit and demonstrate an understanding of BIM
- A thorough working knowledge of the UK planning process, building regulations, and other relevant legislation.
- A good understanding of the Designer’s and Principal Designer’s duty holder roles under the latest version of the CDM and Building Regulations.
- Display a high level of technical knowledge and provide information and advice on technical issues, including responding to and resolving site queries
