Job Description

Our client, an award-winning multi-disciplinary practice comprising an innovative and experienced team of Chartered Architects and Engineers, is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their expanding team in Cardiff.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience. The firm employs around 50 people and prides itself on delivering high-quality designs on projects valued from £1m to £50m. Their client base includes several blue-chip companies across the commercial, custodial, residential, retail, financial, healthcare, and hotel & leisure sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join their established team, delivering design and technical information using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM across various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects, including liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Manage a small team and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate the design team and other consultants
  • Produce drawings and documentation using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, both individually and collaboratively
  • Prepare and coordinate detailed design and production information for tender packages and construction drawings
  • Monitor quality and coordination of drawings to ensure project delivery aligns with the programme
  • Ensure compliance with office quality standards
  • Manage and administer projects effectively
  • Provide leadership to Architectural Assistants/Technicians, including setting deadlines, managing risks, controlling costs, and communication
  • Contribute to the design and construction process
  • Attend client and design team meetings
  • Contribute to bid submissions as required
Requirements
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Living within a commutable distance of Cardiff
  • Good knowledge of all RIBA Stages
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Confident in client interactions
