Senior Architectural Technician Job in Southampton, Hampshire

This role is based in Southampton city centre and involves leading project teams, managing small technical teams, and working on developer-led residential projects with major housebuilders. The team collaborates closely between technical and planning departments to deliver large-scale projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams
• Serve as the primary contact for clients
• Review third-party design drawings
• Produce technical drawings
• Coordinate with building control/NHBC to discharge conditions
• Work directly under the technical director
• Resolve design issues and find technical solutions
• Use AutoCAD daily

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in developer-led residential projects
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and CDM responsibilities
• Ability to lead and coordinate projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Revit skills are a plus
