Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Senior Architect for a central Leeds practice. You will lead design delivery across RIBA stages, mentor junior staff and build high-value schemes from concept to completion.

You'll manage client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and drive technical excellence on projects ranging from £2M to £100M, with opportunities to progress to Associate.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects across all RIBA Stages.
• Proficient Revit user with live projects experience.
• ARB or RIBA qualified Architect.
• Strong knowledge of current UK Building Regulations.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of project delivery.
• Able to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Client facing role with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from early design through to completion across all RIBA Stages.
• Review, coordinate and quality-assure technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and British Standards.
• Coordinate consultant and contractor information, resolving technical issues.
• Lead project teams, overseeing programme, quality and delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and support Leeds office growth.
• Assist with fee proposals, resource planning and business development.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Architect to join an award-winning and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary practice based in Central Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with ambitious expansion plans and a strong pipeline of secured work across the Commercial, Residential, Care, Mixed-Use and High-Rise Residential sectors, delivering projects ranging from £2M to around £100M.

Currently employing around 75 professionals, the practice has clear ambitions of breaking into the AJ Top 100 in the near future, making this an exciting time to join. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering landmark projects while helping to shape the continued growth of the Leeds office.

Senior Architect Overview

• Lead and manage projects from early design through to completion across all RIBA Stages.

Senior Architect Requirements

• Demonstrable experience delivering projects across all RIBA Stages.
• Proficient Revit user with experience delivering live projects.
• ARB or RIBA qualified Architect.
• Strong knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and technical detailing.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of project delivery.
• Able to mentor and develop junior members of staff.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role with excellent communication skills.
• Live within a commutable distance of Leeds.
