Archaeological Consultant Opportunity at Stantec UK

As we move into AMP 8 and continue our growth across the UK & Ireland, we invite Heritage Consultants seeking their next career move to consider this exciting opportunity.

Stantec UK is recruiting Archaeological Consultants at various career stages to join our heritage team within the Environmental Assessment division. Our focus is on major water, highways, and infrastructure projects, working with diverse stakeholders to develop innovative, sustainable solutions. This is a chance to be part of a global engineering firm expanding in the UK. You'll work in collaborative teams dedicated to delivering world-class solutions, with opportunities for learning, development, and career progression.

Depending on your experience, your role may include client liaison, negotiations with LPA archaeological/heritage advisors, project management, risk analysis, research, mapping, heritage screening, and assessments. You will contribute to high-quality heritage consultancy advice and mitigation strategies for a range of schemes, from small projects to nationally significant ones.

About You
  • Degree in archaeology or heritage-related subject.
  • Ideally, a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and/or IHBC or working towards membership within 12 months.
  • Knowledge of British archaeological resources, legislation, and planning policies.
  • Excellent report writing skills; GIS experience preferred.
  • Embodies our values of client focus and service excellence.
