Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking an experienced Arboricultural Consultant / Tree Surveyor to join our team. You will conduct detailed tree surveys, prepare BS 5837 reports and coordinate with architects, engineers and planning authorities.

You will produce Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Method Statements and protection plans, using CAD/GIS tools. A valid UK driving license is required and membership in professional bodies is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture or an equivalent qualification.
• Level 5/6 Diploma, Foundation Degree or BSc/MSc in Arboriculture would be advantageous.
• Strong practical knowledge of BS 5837:2012 and its application to construction projects.
• At least two years' experience undertaking arboricultural surveys and preparing reports.
• Experience producing AIA, AMS, TCP and TPP.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed arboricultural surveys on development sites.
• Prepare BS 5837 arboricultural reports and AIA/AMS documents.
• Prepare Tree Constraints Plans and Tree Protection Plans using CAD/GIS.
• Provide arboricultural advice to architects, engineers and developers.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure tree protection measures are followed.
