Job summary

E3P is seeking an experienced Associate Arboricultural Consultant to lead and develop our growing arboricultural service from our Manchester office. The role combines technical delivery with team leadership, client development and commercial responsibility.

The role is based from our Manchester office with flexible working arrangements and travel across the UK to support a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure and public-sector projects.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher in arboriculture, forestry or related discipline.
• Current Quantified Tree Risk Assessment registration.
• Current Professional Tree Inspection certificate.
• Significant arboricultural consultancy experience.
• Strong BS 5837 knowledge and awareness of UK planning system.
• Proven track record leading complex projects.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, and clients.
• Excellent written, verbal and client-facing communication.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-quality arboricultural consultancy services.
• Provide pragmatic, accurate and commercially focused advice.
• Oversee BS 5837 surveys and development-related assessments.
• Prepare and review arboricultural reports and risk assessments.
• Perform professional tree inspections and risk assessments.
• Provide senior client advice through planning and development.
• Oversee projects from enquiry to completion, including budgets and programmes.
• Lead, support and mentor arboriculture team members.
• Undertake management responsibilities per company structure.
• Maintain high technical standards and quality assurance across service.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to expand services.
• Prepare fee proposals, tenders and commercial submissions.
• Develop relationships and secure new work.
• Represent E3P at client meetings and industry events.
• Contribute to recruitment, team development and strategic direction.
