Job summary

The Environment Partnership is seeking a Senior Arboricultural Consultant in the UK to lead complex arboricultural projects, ensuring high technical quality and excellent client experience. You will manage programmes, budgets and quality assurance while collaborating across ecology, landscape and planning teams.

This senior position involves mentoring others, supporting bids, and sharing knowledge to help grow services. Flexible working is available, and travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry or related field.
• Professional membership with Arboricultural Association and/or IoCF (or working towards)
• Strong arboricultural knowledge including tree identification and inspection techniques
• Knowledge of UK arboricultural standards and guidance
• Experience producing high-quality reports; MS Office and CAD/GIS helpful
• Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders; ability to lead projects
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver arboricultural assessments and advice, including survey planning, site work and reporting.
• Manage projects end-to-end, including programme, resourcing, quality, health and safety, and budget control.
• Produce clear, well-structured reports and supporting plans (constraints, impact and mitigation) using MS Office and CAD/GIS.
• Act as a technical point of contact for clients and colleagues, providing pragmatic guidance.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate arboriculture into broader environmental and planning solutions.
• Support business development activities, including fee proposals and submissions.
• Coach and review the work of others, sharing good practice and CPD.
