Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Arboriculturist Consultant to join the Winchester team. The role involves undertaking tree surveys, producing arboricultural reports and advising throughout the planning and development processes.

This is a permanent, full-time position with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, offering a competitive salary and ongoing professional development within a supportive consultancy.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in arboricultural consultancy.
• Relevant degree or Level 3 or higher arboricultural qualification.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5837 and relevant tree legislation.
• Experience preparing tree surveys and technical reports.
• Competence in AutoCAD and/or KeyTREE.
• Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or within a commutable distance of Winchester.

Responsibilities

• Undertake tree surveys and prepare technical arboricultural reports.
• Produce Tree Constraints Plans, Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
• Provide arboricultural advice throughout the planning and development process.
• Support site supervision and the implementation of tree protection measures.
• Manage project workloads, deadlines and client relationships.
• Collaborate with ecologists, landscape architects and planning professionals.
