Senior Arable Operator
Senior Arable Operator - Abingdon - £45,000 DOE + Accommodation

The Job:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced arable operator to become a key part of our client’s farming operation in Abingdon. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including operating modern machinery such as tractors, telehandlers, and loading shovels. Key duties will include performing drill and fertiliser applications, carrying out cultivations, and assisting with arable crop harvesting. The role will also involve maintaining accurate records of farming activities and supporting environmental projects, such as hedge planting and other sustainability schemes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a family run farm with a hands-on approach to sustainability and environmental practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. The role offers the chance to work independently while also being part of a close-knit team. The Candidate:

  1. Competent tractor driver with relevant experience
  2. Telehandler and/or loading shovel certificates
  3. PA1 and PA2 spraying certificates
  4. Experience with drill and fertiliser applications
  5. Strong background in cultivations and farming operation
  6. Experience performing repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment
  7. Good communication skills and record-keeping ability

The Package:
- Salary - £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
- Accommodation is available within the package
