Job description

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Billing Operations & Systems Specialist to help improve and automate our billing processes, with a significant focus on our affiliate e-commerce income stream. You will refine billing operations, designing and maintaining integrations across multiple systems, and leading projects to implement new and efficient billing solutions. We are looking for a blend of analytical, technical, and stakeholder skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between Finance and IT teams. For this role you will report directly into Head of Financial Operations

Some of the important responsibilities you will look after include the following;

  • Billing Process Optimisation: Analyse existing billing operations to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Systems Integration: Design, and recommend billing integrations across various systems, with a particular emphasis on the affiliate e-commerce income stream to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Automation Focus: Identify opportunities for automation within billing processes and implement solutions to minimise manual interventions and enhance efficiency.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilised Excel skills (including Power Pivot and Power Query) to analyse billing data, identify trends, and create insightful reports.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders from Finance, IT, and other departments to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements for billing system enhancements and integrations.
  • Data Visualisation (Advantageous): Utilise data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to create clear and compelling dashboards and reports to support decision-making.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Proven experience in billing operations and/or systems management.
  • Effective project management skills, including experience in requirements gathering and co-ordinating diverse teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including experience with Power Pivot and Power Query for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of APIs and experience with system integration.
  • Programming skills in any relevant language.
