Job summary
Matillion is the company behind Maia, the AI Data Automation platform, shaping the future of data security. The AppSec Engineer will work with engineering teams to bake security into products from design, creating a SecDevOps workflow.
Design, consult, engineer and support security activities; lead threat modelling, run pentests, review code against OWASP ASVS, and automate security tests in CI/CD. Based in Manchester with a competitive salary.
Qualifications
- Essential passion for Application Security and a solid understanding of the SDLC.
- Desirable experience with OWASP ASVS framework and Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to lead security initiatives across product teams and support SecDevOps.
Responsibilities
- Establish security champions programme across development squads.
- Lead threat modelling during application design and provide security guidance.
- Run pentesting cadence and provide security reviews of code and designs.
- Integrate security into CI/CD with SAST/IAST/DAST and automate tools.
- Support development teams with prompt security analysis and issue resolution.
- Drive innovative security projects and continuous improvement within the team.
