Citi in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Commodities Technology to build low-latency market data pipelines and services for front-office desks. You will partner with traders and quants to deliver real-time data, analytics, and generation of AI-driven tooling in production systems.

Qualifications

• Strong backend programming skills in Java, Python, or C#/.NET.
• Experience with distributed systems and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, ZeroMQ).
• Knowledge of relational DBs and time-series storage (PostgreSQL, Redis, InfluxDB).

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize high-throughput market data engines and APIs.
• Collaborate with Front Office traders and MQAs to translate requirements to production systems.
• Drive adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI to improve tooling and workflows.
• Lead engineering best practices including TDD, CI/CD, and observability.
