Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. in the EU Ops Concessions team seeks a Snr. Applied Scientist with a strong ML background to develop advanced analytics models (CV, LLMs) improving customer experiences and reducing negative impacts on operations.

The role blends leadership with deep technical work: you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to design, implement and scale analytics that drive tangible improvements in Amazon's operations and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• Experience in building machine learning models for business application.
• Experience in Computer Vision modelling and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative algorithms to identify operational defects using advanced analytics techniques.
• Engage with cross-disciplinary stakeholders to conceive and design effective models to address business challenges.
• Communicate with various internal stakeholders and external audiences.
