Job Description:

The Camera and Sensors team is seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a strong background in deep learning. The role involves building industry-leading computer vision and multimodal perception models for various Amazon devices.

Key job responsibilities:

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance multimodal models, emphasizing computer vision.
• Work directly on products and services that utilize Computer Vision technology to enhance customer experience.
• Leverage Amazon’s diverse data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate technological advances.

A day in the life:

Support science solution design, run experiments, research new algorithms, and optimize customer experience. Collaborate with engineers and scientists to implement algorithms and models effectively.

About the team:

Collaborate with a team of applied scientists and software engineers in Cambridge and globally within the devices group.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
• Experience in building machine learning models for business applications
• Experience in applied research

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, scipy, etc.
• Experience implementing Computer Vision algorithms
