Job summary

EY invites an experienced Senior Applied AI Engineer (Manager) to lead technical delivery across AI services for financial services and public sector clients. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers and ensure production‑ready systems with strong governance and observability.

This hybrid role spans architecture, leadership and hands‑on coding in Python/TypeScript on Azure/AWS/GCP with Kubernetes, data engineering and Responsible AI practices. UK client travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Deep software/systems engineering with Python/TypeScript and distributed systems.
• Applied‑AI expertise in LLM/RAG engineering and telemetry monitoring.
• Cloud architecture across Azure/AWS/GCP; Kubernetes/Docker; security concepts.
• Data engineering depth with Spark/Databricks and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Enterprise integration and SRE principles including SLIs/SLOs and runbooks.
• Consulting leadership: stakeholder, budget and risk management; team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across solution threads; set technical direction and mentor engineers.
• Architect enterprise‑grade AI services and ensure operational readiness; drive Responsible AI practices.
• Provide product mindset: reviews, reference architectures and reusable accelerators.
