Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer for maXTouch to develop and support capacitive touch solutions. You will design evaluation boards, build testing tools in C# and Python, and work with embedded C teams across geographies. Strong problem solving and client-facing capabilities are essential.

You will apply AI tools to streamline tasks, troubleshoot designs, and deliver customer training. Travel and collaboration across disciplines are expected.

Qualifications

• Academic background in electronics with hands-on project experience.
• Experience in analog/digital circuit design and PCB entries.
• Proficiency in C#/Python and embedded C development.
• Ability to apply AI tools to improve workflows and design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate maXTouch products and evaluation boards.
• Create custom test equipment and software tooling (C#, Python).
• Troubleshoot customer designs and propose improvements.
• Deliver training on maXTouch solutions to customers (in person or virtual).
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to support full product lifecycles.
