Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide development and customer support for maXTouch Capacitive Touch products.

You will join a team that creates hardware and software solutions to support customer projects and next-gen capacitive touch screens. You will design evaluation boards, develop software tooling in C# and Python, apply AI tools to improve workflows, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver full product lifecycle results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics or closely related field.
• Flexible on years of experience; 0–7 years post graduation.
• Strong problem solving and written/verbal technical English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support maXTouch software/hardware solutions for customer projects.
• Design evaluation boards and custom test equipment for maXTouch products.
• Develop new tooling in C# and Python.
• Apply AI tools to improve daily workflows and tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver full product lifecycle.
