Job summary

Dover Precision Components seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to lead engineering and design content for assigned accounts, acting as the primary liaison with customers for technical matters and turning specifications into engineered solutions.

You will guide Designers, perform calculations, apply advanced analysis methods, and support New Product Development with methodical, well-documented work processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with 3D CAD and high-speed rotating equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze product designs utilizing Dover Precision Components tools and determine optimum solution for customer problems
• Prepare technical information for new projects to customers’ specifications
• Lead Designers, check assembly drawings for design intent and information accuracy
• Support Advanced analysis techniques (FEA, CFD) and coordinate third-party resources as needed
• Assist New Product Development with analytical methods and documentation

We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPCSummary:This position is responsible for the engineering and design content of projects for all assigned accounts. They will act as the primary liaison with customer for resolution of technical matters and the development of products for customer projects by interpreting specifications and design requirements and developing those into an engineered solution. They will assist / instruct Designers with the checking of assembly drawings for accuracy of design intent and application specific information and will assist Application Engineers with advanced analysis techniques when required.Duties and Responsibilities :Analyze product designs utilizing Dover Precision Components (DPC) tools and practices, interpret results and determine optimum solution to the customers’ problem. Prepare technical information for new projects to customers’ specifications.Develop close working relationships with key customers’ technical contacts, ensuring that business opportunities are recognized and responded to appropriately at an early stage. Significant customer interaction with respect to the engineering and management of projects, pre and post contract, for assigned accounts.Support development of advanced analysis techniques (FEA, CFD, etc…) and perform as required.
